← Back to Lexiveris Terms of Service
Last updated 29 October 2026. These terms apply to every order placed with Lexiveris Translations. Please read them before ordering. If anything is unclear, email info@lexiveris.com before you pay.
1. Who we are
Lexiveris Translations is a trading name of Konstantinos, a sole trader, of [address]. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. Email: info@lexiveris.com. You can also call or WhatsApp us using the Call and WhatsApp buttons on this website.
2. Our service
We provide written translation and certification of translations. We do not provide legal advice, immigration advice or services, or help with completing applications or forms. We are not a law firm and are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner. In the United States, we are not attorneys licensed to practice law or accredited representatives. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency, court, university or organisation named on our website.
2a. Who translates your document
We assign each order to a professional translator from our team, chosen for their fluency in the language pair and experience with the document type. Our translators may be employees or self-employed translators engaged by us, and all work under written confidentiality terms. The certificate is signed by the translator who did the work or, where the receiving office accepts it, by an authorised official of Lexiveris on our behalf. We remain responsible to you for the translation.
3. Who these terms apply to
"Consumer" means an individual ordering mainly for personal purposes. "Business customer" means anyone ordering for business, trade or professional purposes, including law firms ordering for their clients. Some clauses apply differently to consumers and business customers, as stated.
4. Prices and quotes
- Per-page prices are shown on our website in pounds and US dollars. A page is one side of an A4 or US Letter document. Unusually dense pages may be re-quoted before we start.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days.
- If the files you upload differ from what you described (for example, more pages or a different document type), we will contact you before starting. You can pay the difference or cancel for a full refund.
- Prices are charged in the currency shown. Your bank or card provider may add conversion fees, which we do not control.
- We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
- Notarisation, apostille and other third-party services are quoted separately. Their fees and timescales are set by those third parties.
5. Payment and when the contract starts
Payment is taken in full when you order, through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Our contract with you starts when we confirm your order by email.
6. Turnaround
Delivery times are estimates measured in UK working days (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays), counted from receipt of payment and complete, legible files. Express orders are delivered within 24 hours of that point on working days. Delivery may be delayed if files are illegible, incomplete or need clarification. We are not responsible for deadlines set by third parties, such as appointments or filing dates, unless we have specifically agreed in writing to meet them.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide complete, legible copies of every page of genuine documents.
- Make sure you have the right to share the documents and any personal information about other people in them.
- Give the correct spelling of names as they appear in the relevant passport.
- Check what the receiving office requires. We format translations to published guidance but cannot advise on your specific case.
- Check your translation when you receive it and tell us about any error as soon as possible.
8. What our certificate covers
Our certificate confirms that the translation is a complete and accurate translation of the document you supplied. It does not confirm that the original document is genuine, valid, current or legally effective, and it does not confirm any fact stated in it.
9. Acceptance by authorities
We prepare translations to meet the published translation requirements of the office you name. Every office makes its own decisions, and we cannot guarantee that a translation will be accepted or that any application will succeed. If an office queries the format or wording of our translation within 90 days of delivery, we will re-issue it free of charge. Decisions made by an office are not grounds for a refund unless they result from an error in our translation.
10. Errors and corrections
If our translation contains an error, tell us and we will correct it free of charge as soon as reasonably possible. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
11. Cancellation and refunds
Payments are non-refundable once work on your translation has started.
- Work usually starts as soon as payment is received. By ticking the box at checkout, you ask us to start work immediately.
- If you cancel before work has started, we refund your payment in full.
- Once work has started, no refund is due, except where the law requires one.
- To cancel, email info@lexiveris.com with your order reference. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days.
- If we make an error in the translation, we correct it free of charge.
- Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are a UK consumer, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the contract starting; if you cancel after asking us to start work, you must pay for the work done up to the point you cancel, and you lose the right to cancel once the translation has been delivered.
12. Our liability
- If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable.
- We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information or documents you provided, by decisions of any authority, or by delays caused by postal services or other third parties.
- Business customers: we are not liable for loss of profit, business, revenue, contract or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
12a. Welcome discount
- The welcome code gives 12% off the price of your first order placed and paid online. It does not apply to quotes, notarisation, apostille or other third-party fees.
- One code per customer and per household. Each code can be used once and has no cash value.
- It cannot be combined with any other offer or applied to an order after payment.
- We may refuse or cancel a discount used in breach of these terms, and we may change or end the offer at any time. Codes already issued remain valid for 12 months.
13. Orders we may refuse
We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, if a document appears to be altered or fraudulent, if translating it would be unlawful, or if we cannot translate it to our usual standard.
14. Using your translation
Once you have paid, you may use, copy and submit your translation for any lawful purpose.
15. Confidentiality and data
We treat every document as confidential and handle personal data as described in our Privacy Notice.
16. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we will tell you as soon as possible and do what we reasonably can to reduce the delay. If the delay is long, you may cancel and receive a refund for work not yet done.
17. Complaints
Email info@lexiveris.com with your order reference. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 10 working days. If we cannot resolve it, we will tell you whether an alternative dispute resolution provider is available.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
19. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer living outside the UK, you keep any protections given by the law of your country that cannot be excluded.
